 \n\nEVENT PAGE\nSpotlight Presentation\nBeyond Barriers: Solutions to Enab
le Caregiver Consistency With Behavioral Interventions\nMonday\, May 27\,
 2024\n4:00 PM–4:50 PM\nConvention Center\, 113 C\n\nADAM D. HAHS (Hopebr
idge Autism Therapy Centers)\n\nCaregivers of autistic children often stru
ggle with adherence to behavioral interventions compared to other treatmen
ts (Moore &amp\; Symons\, 2009). Clinician and caregiver goals sometimes d
iffer\; however\, even when aligned\, caregivers may not consistently impl
ement strategies. By taking a collaborative approach focused on caregiver
perspectives\, clinicians can identify key barriers and provide tailored s
olutions with compassion to empower caregiver’s consistent use of strate
gies. This panel will discuss potential obstacles that caregivers experien
ce in using behavioral techniques with their child\, as well as how to ide
ntify the barriers with families. Possible solutions will be offered\, inv
olving both direct contingency management as well as strategies to address
caregiver’s private events that interfere with them being able to engag
e in value directed behavior. Equipped with an understanding of barriers a
nd practical solutions\, clinicians can partner with families to problem-s
olve obstacles and provide the support needed to enable consistent interve
ntion implementation. This panel focuses on actionable steps for service p
roviders to empower caregivers in overcoming barriers and engage in values
-based care for their autistic children.\nEnter to Win a PEAK Comprehensiv
