SUMMARY:Internal: Autism and Comorbid Conditions Part II
DESCRIPTION:CE Credit: 1 CE\n\nEvent Description\n\nAs a follow-up from par
 t I\, part II of the series will continue the discussion on autism and oth
 er comorbid conditions. Like part I\, this presentation is co-created and 
 co-presented with an interdisciplinary focus. The presentation will cover 
 topics of anxiety\, depression\, and other general medical conditions. The
  presenters will review diagnostic criteria\, risks/protective factors\, p
 revalence rates\, and implications for treatment.\n\nSpeaker\n\nJana Sarno
  (She/Her) \,Chief Clinical Officer at Hopebridge\, BCBA\, – Doctoral Ca
 ndidate\nJana Sarno is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with exte
 nsive educational\, clinical\, and professional development experience in 
 the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. She earned her Bachelor of Science
  from Western Michigan University (WMU). Following graduation from WMU\, J
 ana attended The University of Southern Mississippi\, for her PhD.\, in sc
 hool psychology. During her time at USM\, she worked with children enrolle
 d in Head Start/Early Head Start\, local school districts\, a multi-discip
 linary setting for children with communication and developmental disorders
 \, and the USM School Psychology Clinic.\n\nAfter her time at USM\, Jana c
 ompleted a year-long internship at the Marcus Autism Center\, a NIH Autism
  Center of Excellence in Atlanta\, GA. While at Marcus\, Jana received int
 ensive clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of severe probl
 em behavior\, verbal behavior\, and feeding disorders. Jana has held clini
 cal leadership positions at several in-home\, school\, and clinic-based AB
 A organizations. Along with her work at Hopebridge and AIM Clinics\, Jana 
 volunteers on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Association for Beha
 vior Analysis (ILABA). In her work with ILABA\, Jana chairs the Legislativ
 e Affairs Committee that focuses on governmental relationships\, grassroot
 s advocacy\, and increasing access to ABA through legislative change.\n\nN
