 gical Association\n\nEvent Description\n\nThe Autism Diagnostic Observatio
 n Schedule- 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) Introductory/Clinical Workshop is a two-d
 ay workshop and will be presented via Zoom. All participants are required 
 to have their own copies of ADOS-2 protocols (Modules 1-4) during the trai
 ning in order to score the ADOS-2 while watching videos of administration 
 and participate in scoring discussions. These protocols can be purchased v
 ia Western Psychological Services. Participants may find it useful to brin
 g an ADOS-2 manual to the training as a reference (not essential).Only 60 
 slots are available\, so participation is based on a first-come\, first-se

 a first-come\, first-served basis.\n\nWorkshop Overview\n\nThe ADOS-2 is a
  widely used and well validated direct observation tool used in the diagno
 stic assessment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The administration of 
 the four modules of the ADOS-2 will be outlined. (Note: Toddler module not
  included.) Video demonstrations of some of the modules will be shown and 
 used in order to discuss scoring criteria in detail.\n\nThe ADOS-2 suggest
 s clinical experience with ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders\, as
  well as previous training and experience in assessment. It is recommended
  that attendees undertake as many practice opportunities with the ADOS-2 a
 s possible after attending the workshop in order to use the ADOS-2 reliabl
 y for clinical or other purposes.\n\nGoals and Objectives\n\n 	Summarize h
 ow the ADOS-2 elicits behaviors characteristic of Autism Spectrum Disorder
  (ASD).\n 	Select the correct module of the ADOS-2.\n 	Describe the standa
 rdized administration of the ADOS-2.\n 	Score the ADOS-2 based on video de
 monstration.\n 	Interpret and report ADOS-2 results.\n 	Describe appropria
 te and inappropriate uses of the ADOS-2 in the diagnostic assessment of AS
 D.\n\nWho Should Attend\n\nThis workshop is designed for professionals suc
 h as school/clinical psychologists\, speech language pathologists\, or oth
 ers who are involved in the diagnostic assessment of children or adults wh
 o may have an autism spectrum disorder. (This program will not provide adv
 anced training for those interested in using the instrument for research p
 urposes.)\n\nCost\n\nThe registration fee for this workshop is $510.00 USD
 \, which includes downloadable handouts. It does not include Category 1 CE
  for psychologists which are available for an additional $35.00 USD.
