DESCRIPTION:The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet with a score written by Pyot
 r Tchaikovsky and originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov
 . The Nutcracker premiered in 1982\, and has since become one of the most 
 well-known and beloved ballets\, a staple in the celebration of the holida
 y season.\n\nThe Children’s Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker feat
 ures our students as well as live music by Hendricks Symphony\, profession
 al dancers from area dance companies\, and a special guest appearance by B
 ill Franklin (Courthouse Grounds) as Godfather Drosselmeyer. It is a one o
