Online Workshop for Parents of Young Children with Autism

This is a 5-part series. If you register, you are registering for 5 sessions. We understand you may not be able to attend every session, but you will be registered for them all.

This series will be led by a clinician and a parent of an individual with autism. We will emphasize finding the right starting point for your child as you address critical skills that lead to broader outcomes of empowerment, independence, social connectedness, and health and safety. Strategies addressed will show the application of evidence-based practices within naturalistic activities and routines of the family system. There will be opportunities for group discussion and Q&A.

  • May 11 – Start where they are: Promoting self-advocacy and joy in social interactions
  • May 18 – Start where they are: Building independence in daily life
  • May 25 -Start where they are: Heading off problem behaviors with positive support strategies
  • June 1 Wrap up session: Deeper Q&A, identifying future directions for home implementation, connecting parents to additional resources and supports
