Event Description
Behaviour Analysts have found the Telehealth Service Delivery Model, which has received a growing interest during the COVID-19 pandemic to be a viable option for ethical and effective ABA services. The Practice Parameters for Telehealth ABA (CASP 2021) has provided practitioners with a detailed guideline on how to ethically provide services. The presenter will review the different modalities utilized in Telehealth and review the clinical considerations required to be an effective Telehealth practitioner to conduct effective assessments, provide supervision, implement direct therapy and to provide caregiver training. The presenter will also review how to ethically provide Culturally Responsive Services when working with families. The goal of this presentation is to establish a higher standard of care when delivering services remotely, review ethical considerations while identifying common challenges that often arise with Telehealth practice and offer solutions for these challenges.
