Description

Payment Posting Specialist is to ensure that daily and weekly productivity goals are being met while also achieving high quality and consistency targets. The Posting Specialist will post incoming EOB’s via ERA or Manually based on the incoming deposits from the banking remit file.

Essential Functions:

  • Works the remittance queue for their individual assigned posting items
  • Process and deliver daily productivity and quality metrics
  • Works the credit balances from overpayments of Insurance
  • Ensures EOB’s make it to point person for internal scanning for record keeping
  • And other duties as assigned
  • Abides by all the applicable policies, procedures and guidelines of Hopebridge

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of four years of revenue cycle experience, specifically working with insurance denials and follow up
  • Special Knowledge: Insurance denials for commercial and government payers, especially for covered services that require prior authorizations.
  • Computer Skills: Must be comfortable using Excel. Must be a quick study for medical records systems.
  • Problem solving skills: Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects.
  • Interpersonal skills: Must be comfortable with close supervision

Preferred Skills

  • Behavioral health or OT/Speech is a plus but not necessary
  • Prior experience with PracticeSuite a plus but not necessary

Physical Demands

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times due to a busy office. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive.
