Family Guidance

Family Guidance is Part of the Plan—And Part of the Progress

Because You Know Your Child Best

The most meaningful progress happens when we work together. Your child’s autism therapy is just one piece of the bigger picture. That’s why family guidance is a required and essential part of every applied behavior analysis (ABA therapy) program at Hopebridge.

From the beginning, our BCBAs partner with you – parents, caregivers and any other key family members – to build a shared plan based on what matters most to you and your child.

These personalized sessions aren’t something we do to you or for you. They’re something we do with you.

WHY WE NEED YOU

Conversations Tailored for Your Family

As part of our Hopebridge 360 Care therapy programs, our team will help you explore your goals, identify barriers and take small, realistic steps toward the kind of life you envision for your child and family. From increasing your child’s independence to helping your family feel more connected, we’ll support you in putting those priorities into practice.

Through regularly scheduled family guidance sessions – at least one hour a month, with a cadence based on your availability and preferences – we’ll work together to build confidence, practice strategies and adjust goals as your needs evolve.

Our unique curriculum kicks off with a series of modules to jump-start an individualized, co-created family guidance plan. You and the BCBA will discuss ABA education and expectations before moving onto assessments and activities designed to understand your family’s needs and values. After that, family guidance takes its own path through goal setting, practice sessions and progress updates, which are all customized with your child in mind.

We want to see you serve as a champion for your child and empower you with the tools to make it happen—because progress doesn’t stop at our center doors.

How Hopebridge Supports Families

Once your child starts with us at Hopebridge, our priority is to offer a safe, supportive and compassionate environment that inspires growth, all while supplying you with the resources to make an even bigger developmental difference in your child’s life.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and ABA therapy affect more than just your child, so Hopebridge focuses on familial well-being through orientations, parent education sessions, assessments and more.

Growth Through Guidance

What is family guidance at Hopebridge like? Hear it from another Hopebridge mom:

“I had no idea we’d get all that parent training as part of ABA. I thought it was just for kids, but I had someone supporting me through everything, too. It helped us stay consistent at home, and I still use the strategies they taught me.”

This child’s mom described sessions as “almost like therapy for me,” where she could talk through concerns and feel fully seen and supported as a caregiver.
