Why BCBA Students Choose Hopebridge

Empowered. Motivated. Prepared. Supported. Enthusiastic. These are just a handful of the feelings described by Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Masters students who participate in Hopebridge’s unmatched BAF Program.

The program is set up for students to excel at work and in their studies as they attend graduate school and prepare for the BCBA exam. Hopebridge’s BAF students tell us they feel they have an advantage over other students in their graduate programs because of this unique experience. Beyond all the perks of a paid, full-time RBT position – complete with benefits – here in our centers, here are a few reasons why students choose to work at Hopebridge while studying to become a BCBA:

  • The range of opportunities for structured supervision hours
  • The real-life training experience through hands-on support from BCBAs
  • The program’s objective to increase the BCBA pass rate by providing leading preparation tools and study groups

Get in the Door

Gain Restricted and Unrestricted Hours … on the Job!

According to our BAF students, one of the biggest perks of Hopebridge’s fellowship program is the structured supervision hours, which always come at no cost to them.

  • Time to obtain restricted hours
Simultaneously obtain BCBA fieldwork requirements built right into your workday as a direct therapist.
  • Opportunity to obtain unrestricted hours
Students can meet their requirements that fall outside of direct therapy, such as developing plans of care and behavior intervention plans, and conducting assessments—all while on the clock.
  • Free supervision hours with no strings attached
Quality, supervised fieldwork is available at our centers, and we never make our students pay for their valuable hours, nor sign a work contract.
  • Individualized experience
Whether collecting 20 hours per month or 130 hours per month, there are options available to BAF students. We provide the flexible opportunities, you make them your own.

A Superhero Team of Support

At Hopebridge, there’s always someone to cheer you on or overcome an obstacle, as providing best-in-class, hands-on support is a key piece of the BAF program. Rather than learning from solely one supervisor for the full 1,500-2,000 hours, BAF students are mentored by several in-center BCBAs, plus receive virtual support at the regional and corporate levels to ensure competency. By working closely with supervisors who have a multi-dimensional range of passions and backgrounds, students receive a well-rounded representation of behavior analysis.

In addition to multiple mentors, BAF students receive group supervision and collaboration with their peers. The program’s cohort structure places students together, much like their own virtual classroom. By connecting students to each other through tiered groups based on the number of hours they’ve accrued, they are able to create intimate, close-knit experiences within the broader autism service network.

Pass the BCBA Exam

Let’s face it. Taking any test can be nerve-wracking, especially when your future relies on it. As with every other step of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Hopebridge aims to relieve some of this pressure and increase confidence by incorporating some of the best BCBA exam study tools available.

Here’s the exciting news: It’s working! Hopebridge BAF graduates consistently pass at a higher rate than the BACB national average. We purchase and provide free access to study tools like the BDS Modules and the FIT Mock exam, plus connect our students with each other to create effective and fun study groups.

Level Up with Paid RBT Training

Not yet an RBT but still have aspirations to become a BCBA? Becoming an RBT is one of the initial steps on the BCBA journey, and we can train you for both positions—while you’re getting paid on the job!

Hopebridge shares our position trajectory with employees to support their learning and growth opportunities. For instance, ABA therapists can level up to the RBT Fellow position, which is unique to Hopebridge. In this role, they will spend half of their time serving as an RBT and the other half of their time preparing to become a behavior analyst by gaining real life experience. This piece includes shadowing BCBAs, working on consults, participating in parent meetings and conducting initial ABA evaluations.
