Workshop Overview
The ADOS-2 is a widely used and well validated direct observation tool used in the diagnostic assessment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The administration of the four modules of the ADOS-2 will be outlined. (Note: Toddler module not included.) Video demonstrations of some of the modules will be shown and used in order to discuss scoring criteria in detail.
The ADOS-2 suggests clinical experience with ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as previous training and experience in assessment. It is recommended that attendees undertake as many practice opportunities with the ADOS-2 as possible after attending the workshop in order to use the ADOS-2 reliably for clinical or other purposes.
