What is Autism?

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is exactly that – a spectrum – that leads to unique strengths and challenges for each individual. From the clinical definition to autism myths, we are here to help you learn more.

Signs of Autism

Every individual experiences different behaviors and challenges, but there are a few signs you can look for before you decide whether to move onto the next steps.

Developmental Milestones

Take a look at some of the key developmental milestones for your child’s first 5 years with this child development checklist for infants, toddlers and children. While it does not serve as a test for autism or disability, this list serves as a guide of skills in which to observe and discuss with your pediatrician.

Importance of Early Intervention

Wonder if you should wait to find out whether your child has ASD? Early identification and therapy can impact your kid during their developmental prime. Hopebridge Founder Kim Strunk shares how getting the proper diagnosis and therapy for your kiddo can be life-changing.

Schedule a Diagnostic Evaluation

If you think your child shows symptoms of autism, schedule an assessment with a qualified professional. Our Hopebridge Diagnostic Team built a autism testing guide to give you a peek at what to expect.

View Is Therapy Covered by Insurance?

You have enough on your mind caring for the needs of your child. That’s why autism therapy services at Hopebridge are not only covered by most plans, but we have a full-service Care and Benefits team to guide you through the financial ‘maze.’ With insurance and Medicaid, we make sure families have funding options.

Commercial Health Insurance
We accept a vast range of commercial insurance plans and work to constantly expand our relationships. Plus, our Care and Benefits Coordinators help facilitate the autism treatment coverage available through your plan.

Medicaid
Accessible care is part of our core vision, which is why we participate in Medicaid. If a child qualifies for Medicaid and the plan covers ABA therapy, Hopebridge will bill for services on your behalf whether as a Primary or Secondary payer.
