What is Speech Therapy at Hopebridge?

Speech and language therapy supports children who have difficulty expressing their basic wants and needs, understanding others, or safely eating and swallowing. Often referred to as “speech impediments” or “speech disorders,” some kids need help with the physical act of speaking, while others struggle with language processing or a delay in speech development.

Through play-based, functional activities, speech therapists work on the language skills kids need from the beginning.

Hopebridge speech-language pathologists work with children experiencing:

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Developmental delays
  • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS)
  • Voice and resonance disorders
  • Stuttering or articulation challenges
  • Difficulty processing and/or expressing language
  • Hearing impairments
  • Dysphagia and swallowing difficulties
  • Feeding challenges
