Great Connections Special Needs Program

On the second Sunday of every month, Great Explorations Children’s Museum will close to the general public from 10 am-12 pm and open for families with special needs to come and enjoy Great Connections, a sensory-friendly event. Great Explorations will modify lights, sounds, and provide a “cool down” room for families who need to take a break. Each month, the program will offer new stimulating activities and themes for everyone to enjoy. Great Connections is now a free program all thanks to Guardian Trust.

This month, The St. Petersburg Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center will be here and kids will be sifting and screening to search for jewels and fossils, building a dinosaur using the large dino blocks, and making shark tooth necklaces.
